
NestEggRx was originally conceived to educate physicians and other health care workers about the benefits of commercial multifamily real estate. You may have noticed recently some changes to the website. In a continuing effort to serve you, the reader, I have upgraded for faster download times and ease of navigation.
You may have also noticed that it’s been awhile since I last posted. My apologies, but in addition to the website changes, many new opportunities have arisen that has allowed me to better serve this community.
For example, I was asked to write the real estate investing chapter for a new investing book that hits store shelves this summer. I have also written several educational pieces that will soon be available to you and the rest of this community.
However, what I am most excited about is the addition of learning events. I’ve been fortunate enough to meet many of you in person, hear your stories and share my own. There are reasons why I am so passionate about commercial multifamily real estate. Things like:
- It provides true portfolio diversification into a low volatility asset class
- It is a conservative investment revolving around the basic need of shelter
- It can provide both exceptional yield and growth
- It offers significant protection against economic cycle downturns
- It is an excellent hedge against inflation
- It provides some of the best tax advantages of any investment class
These are just a few of the highlights that get touched on at these events and they have been very well received. My only regret is that seating is limited and I’ve had to close some due to overwhelming demand.
One thing I have learned in my travels is that doctors are a very heterogeneous group. Everybody has different needs and goals. The one thing that we all have in common is that we are practicing in turbulent times. Decreased reimbursements and increasing regulations have many worried about their ability to retire one day.
It’s time to demand better investment results. Learning more about this asset class is the first step.
My next event is May 31st in Houston, Texas. I’m excited to be back in Texas which happens to be my favorite state to invest in. In addition to the learning event, I’ll be checking on several properties I have fractional ownership interest in as well as a couple of new potential acquisitions that we’ll be taking a run at in the near future.
